Free farm visit opportunity for adult groups

Emma Harrison is a commercial farmer operating 4 miles south of Evesham (WR11 7QS), 20 min from Cheltenham. The farm has a mixture of animals, crops and conservation areas. She is an 'open farmer' which means that she is a commercial farmer who hosts group visits. She hosts over 50 visits a year, the groups are largely children either main stream or special needs. Emma would like to host more adult groups.

Emma has a classroom, toilets and a passenger trailer which are wheel chair accessible. She also has several tracks on the farm which should allow a reasonable level of mobility for a wheel chair user.

She can offer the visits for free, may also be able to find help towards the transport costs. The funding finishes in August this year and so ideally the visits would need to take place before the end of July.

The funding has an emphasis on exploring the senses through what the farm has to offer. Emma can offer a range of activities and would be very flexible to offer a visit suitable and enjoyable for the visiting group. The activities don't just have to be about farming as she likes to use the farm as a learning tool for a variety of subjects.

If you would like to take your service users/volunteers or staff on an outing to visit Emma’s Farm and for further information you can either email or call Emma at robharrison37@btinternet.com or on 01386 700482.
