LLOYDS BANKING GROUP SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS PROGRAMME
AN EXCITING NEW PROGRAMME SUPPORTING OVER 750 SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURS AROUND THE UK OVER THE NEXT FIVE YEARS


ABOUT THE SCHEME
STARTUP
If you have an idea to improve your local community, ‘Start Up’ will support you in personal development and business skills development to help turn your vision into a reality.
Learning areas include: Setting up a social enterprise, strategy, people & money, marketing, leadership, presentation skills, and social impact.


SCALEUP
If you have an established organisation and are looking to take it to the next level, ‘Scale Up’ will equip you with the tools to develop it further and replicate its social impact.
Learning areas include: Strategies for growth and sustainability, partnerships, staff development, leading in a changing environment, impact and evaluation, and funding & investment for growth.



FUNDING AVAILABLE
In addition to a place on the learning programme, Start Up students will each receive a grant of £4,000 to help them develop their project or business.
Each Scale Up participant will receive a grant of £15,000 to help scale their organisation, and each year one Scale Up student will win a total award of £25,000 as Lloyds Banking Group Social Entrepreneur of the Year.

ABOUT OUR FUNDERS
The programme, which begins in October 2012, has been made possible by a donation from Lloyds Banking Group. Nominet Trust, the UK-based social investor which advocates the imaginative use of digital technologies to improve lives and communities, is also investing in the scheme.
