Free Training For Artists Who Would Like To Work In Schools!

Artspace Cinderford are offering a FREE, eight week short course to artists who have little or no experience of working in schools.

This course if for you if you are an artist who;
is confident in your art form, would enjoy working with children, but needs a better understanding of what is required to deliver community art workshops in a school setting.

Do not miss the opportunity to benefit from this free training and support. Funded by Create Gloucestershire, the programme will give you a broad overview of what will be expected of you in a school environment. From identifying class needs and objectives, planning resources and budgeting to risk assessments and evaluation procedures.

You will get the opportunity to deliver a workshop in a school and gain practical advice from experienced tutors.

Initial Meeting

Week 2
Seminar 1 (at Artspace)
Fri 27th April 10am – 1pm
Week 3
Shadowing tutors / making links with schools

Week 4
Seminar 2 (at Artspace)
Fri 4th May 10am – 2pm
Week 5
Shadowing /delivering as part of a team

Week 6
Seminar 3 (at Artspace)
Fri 18th May 10am – 1pm
Week 7
Running a workshop

Week 8
Seminar 4 (at Artspace)
Fri 8th June 10am – 12 noon.
