COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WORKER


The role will be to work with individuals, families and the whole community to empower them to:

• identify their needs, opportunities, rights and responsibilities;
• plan what they want to achieve and take appropriate action;
• develop activities, social opportunities and services to improve their lives
• recruit and support volunteers
• support the Project Manager in securing funds to enable the successful delivery of GL11’s strategic charitable business activities.

This post is for 21 hours per week, 52 weeks p.a.  Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.  This is initially offered as a 2 year contract.  Continuation will be subject to funding.
